i've always read horror stories about the roommate from hell, scoffed at that bad Leighton Meester movie that came out a while ago -- pfft, it can't be that bad, can it? -- but never in a million years would i have thought that things with my ex-roomate and me would go down shit creek.
i'm not going to elaborate, because for one i'm glad it's over and done with, but let's just say that she had a strange allergy to other human beings besides herself and had the maturity of an eight-year-old. good riddance, i say.
right now we've set up camp in a one-bedroom apartment that would be overlooking the Yarra river if it was on the other side of the building, but i guess the sprawling city views from my floor-to-ceiling windows don't hurt a bit, especially when the sun is setting. if you can forget the fact that directly opposite those said windows is a brothel (albeit pretty discreet) and a Youth Hostel Association full of backpackers hanging out of its windows, smoking cigarettes.
here's a picture of A setting up our makeshift bed from when we decided to have a sleepover in the new place. it was fun :-)
